Holocaust Museum Experience

Our trip to the Holocaust Museum was sobering and thought provoking, as is any time I think about that period in history. But one thing that really struck a chord with me from yesterday, that is really fairly unrelated, is when we were talking about Westboro Baptist.

As a strong Christian myself, hearing about that organization just hurts my heart. And honestly it frustrates me that they are giving the world a skewed view of the Christian walk. A life so fueled by hate could not be more opposite than what we are called to do. I am a patriotic American and Texan. I love my country and I think it is extremely important that we support Israel in all they undertake. Furthermore, their treatment of the homosexual and non-protestant communities is not an effective way to garner support. There is so much more I can say about this, but I'd rather put it to rest for today.
